ABS and TRAC LIGHT flashes
Hey guys,
at times while driving my ABS light comes on and stays ON while the "trac off" light flashes..this only happens once in a while. Maybe like 1-2 times a month. Very weird behavior i must say. Anybody seen this before?
I have a 2000 ES300 with 63k

^Limp mode is when the pcm uses pre-programmed information instead of what would normally be input by the sensor or what have you.... so you can still drive the car, ya mean?
In your case the trac control and ABS is shut off whenever the false or no input is sent to the pcm and/or ABS control unit, which sounds intermittent. Probably a wheel speed sensor
The wheel speeed sensors are used for the ABS and trac control

I figured the wheel speed sensors a while back ago, So i inspected them all and cleaned them up. But maybe it got dirty or some shavings on them as it attracts metal. I dnno I may give up on this.
