Default Manual Conversion?

Hi everybody!

What is the process that I'd need to go through in order to change my Auto transmission and replace it with a manual? Do they slot right in, or is there major adjustments needed within the engine bay?

Cool

Web archive of Ratko's E53 swap.

Just remember that E153's are technically the MR2 transmission & have shorter gearing, along with the shift linkage on the wrong side of the tranny. You can use them, the linkage needs to be moved.

E52 = gen2 Camry/ES250 5-speed. E53 = gen 3 Camry/ES300 5-speed (Sychro's upgraded in 1993)
Later solara E53's used slightly shorter gearing than the 92-93/92-94 E53 M/T's.

not worth the cost/time it takes to complete the job IMO. You're better off buying a manual es300.
