Hey guys,

I am smelling some kind of exhaust fumes when idling. It seems to be coming in through the air conditioner. I thought maybe the exhuast manifold was cracked, but I checked and its not. It smells almost as if something is burning. I only smell it when the air is on fresh air not the recycled, and when idling. I degreased the engine just to make sure it isnt oil dripping on something. Does anyone know what it could be?

I had the same exact problem and i had both my valve cover gaskets replaced because oil was dripping on the manifold and while i was at it, i had the toyota dealership do the valve stem seals as well. it cost me about 1200 to do the valve stem seals and the valve cover gaskets.
