i was in my local lexus dealer today getting a "door snap" for my es, it is a very tiny plastic clip that looks like it worth 50 cents but i was quoted $8.40 in a lexus dealer!! so i ask the guy in parts why does it cost so much he told me it is LEXUS PARTS i'm like huh????? I ask if it would be cheaper if I get it next door (toyota parts dept) and he told me he doesn't know and jsut go ask. So i ask him to hold the it for me and i walk to toyota part ask for same parts but for 97 camry. Well, the dude in toyota part quoted me $1.89 for a door snap and it look exectly the same!! so I bought toyota part and save myself $6.50. eventhough lexus parts looks more luxurious compare to toyota parts but hey i'm a cheap a$$ i like to save $6.50 so I bought toyota parts. same goes for me... I find getting toyota windom parts alot cheaper than if I asked for ES parts etc.

however being quoted $75 bucks for mirror glass seems stupid and that what quoted under toyota.

i would love to see how they price these things.. they must be sat around the bar laughing at us!

Same issue here ~ I live in Chicago and hold on to your sit when you here this. I CAR WASH told me that a Lexus was $2 more to get washed. I asked why "He told me because they need to be more carefull " THIS IS INSANE !!!!!

hehe that is insane....

I remember when I first got my car and got a puncture.. i phoned the tire garage and asked how much it was to fix a puncture, they gave me a price but whe i got there it was double.
