in 23 with 97 es300 which i got in june 2005. I think it is a good entry level luxury car for people who plan to go on to higher models and makes. respectable and efficient, without showing off.

I am 33. Bought my 2001 ES300 (black on black) 1 1/2 months ago. I could have bought any Lexus out there, but decided on the ES for the looks and the size. The other body styles just did not appeal to me. They might have more horsepower, but they do not have the elegance and simplicity of the ES. Besides, options are nice and all, but do you really use them every time you get into your car? My other car is a tuner 1992 Honda Prelude Si with plenty of get up and go.

Im 20.. Got my 93 Lexus when I was 17.. Love that car.. Also got a 68 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible and a 2003 Dodge Stratus (needed it for work so i didnt have to put the miles on the Lex) and currently looking for a Civic Hatch, just built a turbo H22a and its ready to be dropped in.. Lexus is the every day non work driver.. but the Olds was the first car, and nothing beats the speed and girls I get in that car!

Im 22 and I purchased my 96 es300 a few months ago. This is first car I have owned. Its a good car and has some nice pedal response. I like it more than all the other cars I driven and I do feel it is a good introduction to luxury/performance cars.
Because my all my parents cars have been toyotas or some other "family" type vehicle I always thought a car was a car was a car. Man was I wrong. My 96 is not even a "Fast" fast car, but from the time I got it the first thing I noticed was the excelleration and passing ability.
I would love another lexus, but Ive resolved that my next car will definately be a porsche, LOL. Once you get used that quickness and response when you tap the throttle, its hard to go back.

Exactly, I was looking at the 2004 GS, 2003 RX, and the 2006 IS, but decided on the 2001 ES300. For practicallity, I have two young boys. For looks, I do not like the looks of the newer ES body style.

32, was 30 when I bought my 2005 ES 330. Could have bought a GS, but liked the clean styling and interior of the ES. I plan on driving it until I can afford a LS 460. That's a NICE car. By the way it seems like there are a lot of ES 330 haters, why is that? I think hands down the interior is one of the nicest in any car and the exterior is understated but simple and clean. Just my thoughts.
