Well still think you should put super in. If you have no ping and don't notice any problems you should be fine. Still your not getting your full capibility on 89 octane

We have a few race gas stations in the area in dayton, ohio. It is about 5 bucks a gallon these days (was about 3 bucks 2 yrs ago). The only reason I use it is because of the turbocharger. If you can find an unleaded race gas it is nice to use once in a while (a few gallons added to your normal fuel) on a stock vehicle to clean your fuel system out.

Cool

Just remember that high octane is horrible for emessions if you're not currently tuned to use it. Run 87. I'm running 87 from the place a half mile down the street. It was 1.96 today for 87.

Sean if you'd get off your but with the water/ethyl alcohol injection you could swap back to 87 for daily driving 93 for racing. You've any idea how much money you'd save from having to bump the octane higher than 93? LoL!

There are alot of places that have race gas.
Arkenol
Citgo
ERC
Exxon
Phillips
Shell
Sunoco
Torco (Chevron)
Trick
Turbo Blue
Unocal-76 (Torco -> Chevron)
VP Racing
I'm probably only bearly touching it.

The most common places to find high octane are Citgo, A "76", or a Sunoco.

use the highest octane in you area.it's known that higher octane gas burns cleaner and gives better gas mileage.we also have a honda odyssey that i put premium in.with premium(93 where i live)the van got 100 extra miles on a tank full(with the same driving patterns)then it did wit 87(aka crap)also even though very mild try 87 in a higher mileage car and notice the slight pings under load.switch to 93 and the pings go away.even though at a small scale pings are a form of detonation, and most people know detonation is no good! detonation=bye-bye engine.

I only put in 93 octane Premium. Chevron is my first pick, but they only have Shell gas station in my town. 2001 ES300--61,000 miles on the car. If you can drive a Lexus, don't worry about gas prices too much. They get decent gas mileage if you lay off of the accelerator.

You are right about that. I meant that for the people who price hunt different gas stations so that they can save 80 cents.

As long as you go to the same gas station every time and not a Indian or independent station you are going to run the best I prefer HESS
