Default

Just bought a 94 ES300, Im already pretty wowed with it. During my lunch hour I just drive around instead.

Anyhow lets get to the nitty gritty. Ive been hearing about how expensive they are to maintain, how unreliable they are after 100k versus mercedes, etc. Id liketo hear some experts opinions on this, as this Lexus I bought looks a whole hell of a lot better and runs a lot nicer than my old mercedes with only a small amount of more miles.

Also are there any customizations you guys suggest? Exterior or interior, engine or trim, etc.

Will post pics of my new baby as soon as I get them. Oh, by the way I am selling/trading a very nice set of rims, they are just too flashy for me. I am looking for any stock rims that will fit my model. The rims I have are chromed 5 star rims with very nice gold trim.

Default where do you live?

'cause if you live close, we can just swap our rims.

Of course, we will see how much I probably want to and will pay you extra for 17" rim.

I live in Brooklyn, NY

Default close by

Thanx for the welcome and the url.

Chris, I live very close, in Massachusetts. Brooklyn is about 2 hours away, and I go and visit my mom in North NJ, and my brother in manhattan all the time.

The rims are immaculate. They are 5 star chromed with gold centers and gold billets around the rim. I am actually getting used to them as they accent the car very well, but still think they are too flashy for me. They are 15" though, so let me know if you are still interested.

Which stock rims do you have? The 3 star 1992 ones, or the newer 4 star ones?

Default 15?

So they are the stock 1996 ES300 rims? I assume they are 15" ? This way I can look them up and see pics. I will try and get pics up, but my house is getting repainted and recarpeted and I have limited access to the PC.

If you have pics throw them up.

Default got it

OK they are the ones I am thinking of, looked them up on the net, they didnt go to the 4 star ones until 1998. I assume they are not chromed, just stock alloy, which I prefer. How is the condition of them?

Will you want to swap tires also. Mine have Aquatreds on them with very good tread left, I believe they are 205/65 R15, but not 100% sure.
