New Wiper Motor Turns Wrong Direction
02 ES300. Had to replace the wiper motor which meant disconnecting both arms and removing the bracket from the motor shaft (has to come off to mount it).
The new motor came with the swing arm attached to the motor so I marked its location, installed motor, reinstalled swing arm. After everything together, the wipers “return” to the top position and want to sweep downward…
The old motor stopped returning the blade automatically years ago, so I did not have a very good idea how the assembly should be oriented in the off position. Is there a diagram out there for the swing arm location in the off position? Or do I just need to fiddle with multiple positions until it acts right?
Thanks!

Sounds like the arm is stopping 180 degrees off, reposition the arm that amount should fix it. What brand motor is this?

Also, if anyone needs to replace on of these, it is designed to come out in this position without disassembly (something I was I knew when I started 😆

To confirm as shown in that picture that is the off aka resting position. Right?
