Slow Acceleration, wtf??
Ok, for some reason, my 94 es300 always accelerates real slow out of first gear, and no i dont keep it on "D" i usually go from L, to 2, then to D. but for some reason the car accelerates pretty slow out of first gear until it reaches about 15 to 20 mph, then it kicks up and goes pretty quick, is there anything i can do to speed up the acceleration in those first couple mph?

Have you moved the throttle position sensor lately? That was definitely my one of my probs. You''l need an ohmeter and feeler gauge to readjust it correctly.
Search for Phoenix's asic mod also that should help as well.

I've got a 93 ES300 that seems to surge in 1st up to about 1800 rpm, then smooths out and shifts fine without any problems. Only happens for a couple of seconds then all is good. Does not appear to be trainy related. Could this also be the TPS?

^Bridon welcome to CL kinda random post to be your first. So may I be the first to say welcome to CL and pics please also you might want to start a Hi I'm new here thread so you can hopefully get what will be the traditional "Slooooooow welcome mat". Oh and about your acceration issues it could be your TPS sensor but hopefully pheonix or one of the other motor guys chimes in. Oh and LOL this tread is over a year old LOL.

Well, it only has 188 or something hp..and its kind of old, so I don't expect much from it, even though my car is slow too, espacially since I'm turning larger 17 inch rims...the car feels slower than before.
(wait, will larger rims = slow down the car b/c i heard that braking performance decreases when you upgrade to larger rims)

Sounds like that may be your fuel filter starting to clog, its an easy $15 fix. Mine was doing it bad when I bought it and I feared the worst, spark plugs, compression, tranny... but I am glad I checked to fuel filter first and now it runs near perfectly!

WOW! Thanks for the welcomes! Yes I'm new at this but the help is worth the ribbing! The problem was a cracked intake tube. Found a similar entry after posting this and it suggested an intake problem. The tube was cracked on the bottom. As the engine started to load it would twist the intake tube just enough (at the mounts) that it caused the crack to open. That's why it only afected 1st gear starts. Appreciate the help.
