I am also from Florida and if there was an install place for that trunk, let me know as I know someone with one that might be interested in that. Nice ES

ummmmmm......whatever floats your boat. rims are a little ghetto fab, and the car looks stock, so why the unnecessary custom trunk to go along with the stock body? but if your happy with it

im not tryin to be negative, and thats exactly my point. something has to back up that one visible slight extreme mod to a rather stock bodied ES.

As far as the trunk mod, I did it myself with one of my car club members. It was a pain in the a$$, but it was worth it. I still have plenty of tricks up my sleeve. The hood is next.
Thanks for all the positive comments and the negative.. If anyone has any questions on how to do it please feel free to PM me. Sorry I did not take any tech pics of the install. I will try and do so for the hood..

It looks like you rigged the trunk up with some deadbolts the way the trunk is leaning down. There are alot of websites that show you how to do this setup yourself for just a couple bucks. When I started modifying my car I did the same thing. I assume you did this too. To avoid that lean I recommend buying some trunk hinges from autoloc. It will look much better and line the trunk straight. Either that or you're gonna have to use some rubber stoppers to prop that trunk up to a level height and that's just ghetto. I had the autoloc hinges on my car for a while, but in all honesty IMO this mod just doesn't look good on a Lex.

I've got a pict of my old Sable with its "flip-flop" trunk. $10 garage door hinges from Lowes and you're ready to go. Somehow I dont think it would be that simple with a Lexus trunk. The tail lights and the way it closes is different. I wanted my Sable to be different (not the typical grandma car) but the trunk was functional, more so than its stock setup. I wired the reverse lights to turn on when the trunk was open.
