Default Air Bag Light is On!

I just changed the battery yesterday and I noticed the "Air Bag" light is on. I read the manual and it's telling me that I should take it to the dealer....ugggh.

Before I take the baby, does anyone else in here had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? Thanks in advance.

Headaches in Hollywood,

Me

How did you get an ES 350 when they haven't even gone on sale yet?

I'm sorry, mine is only ES250. I think I'm the only one here who drives an old Lexus....I went to SC's Forum and felt ignored. I wonder if that's part of the attitude when you drive SC's or higher?
LOL....

I think I found the procedure to clear the light....I hope it will work on mine.

Oh yea, the ES250. Not a bad car at all. Anyways in my ES300, it states that the air bags should be checked 10 years from the manufacture date and ever 2 or 3 years after the 10 years. And yes you might have to take it to the dealer. I think that's what it says in the ES250 also, under the sun visor.

I just found a dealer in my neighborhood who will fix it for me. Of course I asked for the labor cost and all that...at least this one was recommended by somene who already had the same problem and they are fixing it for less than $100. With safety first and all, I don't think I'm paying too much.

Well, hopefully you never need it... but if you ever do need your airbag, I'm sure you'll never regret spending that $100.

And don't let anyone get you down about driving an ES250. Whether they want to admit it or not, you've got a piece of Toyota history right there... take care of her.
