What is the fastest an Es300 has gone?
I can't seem to find enough road to get past 120mph . And I had my 1988 Chevy Celebrity push 110 with 6 people , with 185 hp I'm sure the Lexus can do more than that. My needle moves to slow when trying to go past 120, I need to invest in performance parts. SO anyways, what's the fastest they've seen an Es300 go? (I just became a member, so I hope everyting goes well. This web has an awesome forum.)

Werd, it's been fairly well covered. Just to save you from reading a very old & very, very long thread... (That you still should read anyway.)
1mz-fe's are limited to 137mph, 1mz-fe's w' vvt-i 139mph, 3mz-fe's limted @ 143mph.
The 2vz-fe, and 3vz-fe's are drag limited (No limiter). Depending on engine condition, will likely 100% top out @ 125 & 135-140mph.
Who knows about the 2.5L cars. I don't know anyone that does.
The 4vz-fe is likely to not be limited, while the 2mz-fe is likely to have the same limiters as the 1mz-fe.
Accerlleration for all past 120mph is... Slow. Past 130mph is nearly non-existent.
The stock & stock like suspensions will scare you at speed when maneuvering. It shouldn't be done.
The ABS brakes, with good rotors, track pads, and a quality fluid (dot4 or better) are up to the speed.
Aerodynamically, ES's are good, unfortunately they (92+) begin to suffer some nose lift @ 125mph. I recommend a splitter, under-tray, or a *working* airdam to combat this. What starts as simply an unsettling feeling between 125-130mph winds up as an "OMG This thing would be completely uncontrollable by 150mph" once you hit 140 the first time.
So... That's all you really need to know. All of the 3.0L & "newer" 2.5L's will hit 135mph if you give them room. Past that & you're at the will of engine/drivetrain condition & nerves of steel to simply use enough road to continue to accelerate.
The M/T's with their SHORTER gear ratio are faster until you add tons of power. This is because they stay closer into the powerbands than the A/T's do.

The fastest I went in my old 99 ES 300 is 130 mph.... never went any faster than that...
and it was scary too, doesnt feel too stable. that is even though I had strut bar, tokico struts, high perf tires ..
wont recommend you to cruise at that speed ...

on most of my "speed runs" I had was doing atleast 100-110mph but nothing over 120, i was on roads with curves or I was making curves by testing the handling of the es. They were nothing sharp but I thought the Es handled well and is pretty stable. And sadly it is still stock. Instead of buying performance parts and such to fix all of my projects, I opted for an engagement ring.

The fastest I've gone on my 1996 ES 300 was 125 mph. I probably won't do that again since I need to replace my shocks and stuts. It's about time. I should be hitting 250K miles in a few more weeks.

130 and very stable feeling in my solara (1mzfe) with fully upgraded suspension. About 110 in the es3, never felt very stable past that nor did i have the tires for more at the time. I dont think top speed should be your concern in an es3 as thats not really what its meant for, top speed is pretty useless in america.
