Smile 2005-2006 factory fog loght blub replacement (bright white or yellow?)

Hello,

Wanted to see if anyone with a 2005-2006 ES330 had changed out their factory halogen fog light bulbs? I just purchased my ES and the "faint" halogen fog lights just didn't look right with the HID lights . I am debating if I should put in "super whites" or "strong-yellow" bulbs (H3, I believe) in the factory housing. any feedback / pics / comments would be great! Thankyou!

Yellow bulbs in the fog lights cut through the fog more effectively than white light. However, people like the white light based on its color match with their HIDs. It's up to your preference

I put yellow PIAA Ion Crystals (H3) in my 02 ES.
However, the 05-06 ES foglight bulbs are 9006 and PIAA does not make the Ion Crystal in that bulb.

Hi Steviej, thanks for the pic! Does the yellow light really stand out in fog/rainy weather?
What are your experiences with PIAA vs other brands in terms of yellow/amber bulbs?

I went to PIAA website and confirm that they do not make 9006 ion crystal, but when I google them... this is what I came up with

http://autothing.com/catalog/piaa_ye...lbs_832475.htm
http://store.racinglab.com/piplionyehb9.html

Are these imports fro Japan (hence not on PIAA US site), or should I worry about the "authenticity" of these PIAAs?

The yellow I found to be better in the rain and fog, mcuh better in snow.

I haven't used any other yellow fogs, sorry. Do a search in the Lighting forum. I know of other brands that have been mentioned....both good and bad.

they may not be DOT approved PIAA bulbs, meaning not for sale in the US by direct marketing.
