'97 Trunk Lid - Tail Lamp R&R
I'm baffled.
Why did they make a neat little access door for the three bulbs on the trunk lid to R&R those but not the 4th bulb on the top row near the center?
How do I get in there to replace the bulb?
TIA

Are you talking about the lights above the license plate? If so, you need a small flathead screwdriver to pry out the 2 clips holding each of the lights. From there, you should be able to pull down the lights, and remove the bulbs themselves by simplying pulling them out.
The pic below is from my '01 ES, just demonstrating how the removal of the license plate lights works. Hope that helps

Sorry I wasn't clear on that.
The lamps I cannot access are right or left of the License plate lamps you just showed.
The Trunk lid has a small access door, but for only three of the four lamps. When you open that panel you can see the three receptacles and their related wiring, but looking across over to the upper lamp (towards the middle of the trunk lid) I can only get access I think by removing the entire gray felt LINER or removing the LAMP ASSEMBLY I tried the latter and it was frozen in place like the gaskets were holding it in place very good. That means its watertight too, yes?
The one I can't get to is the TOP ROW near the center on the TRUNK lid.
TIA
