what oil fiter to get?
hello everyone i was wondering where i should i get the oil filter from the dealer or auto parts store i see people say to get the toyota oile fiter would some know what part number to use for a 94 lexus es300 and would useing a blend oil be ok? thanks for all the help

When you say use a "blend" do you mean use a synthetic blend oil type? If so, yes you could use synthetic blend, but might as well go fully synthetic. Ex: Castrol Syntec, Mobil 1.

I recommend only full synthetic oil and believe Mobil1 to be the best of the popular brands. Anything less can lead to sludge buildup in the engine and poor lubrication due to oil breakdown. Also, if the engine is broken in (which may take 20,000 miles), engine wear will be so slow that there is no good reason to change the oil more often than recommended by Lexus, every 7500 miles under normal conditions.

Toyota only uses two basic filters, a short & a long, and both are the same bolt pattern.
Denso First Time Fit = teh ****z
Normal Denso/Toyota filter is good if you can't find/afford first time fits.
