Selling the ES
Circumstances suck and I need to let go of my 97 ES 300.
Is there any particular place I should check out in order to get a quick sale?
I'm visiting CarMax tomorrow after work. There's Pohanka Lexus on the way which I'll be grabbing a couple of parts from quickly, too. But I don't think a dealer would give me much more than the minimum for the car.
So, help?
Thanks in advance, guys. And I won't be out of the forums long, my dad's looking to replace his 750iL after another $2500 service charge this year.

Put it in the paper!!!!! Afterwards Auto-trader, or ebay.
I've never not had a good condition vehicle sell for myself, or any I sold for my family within a week. & always at kbb asking price for private party sales.
Sorry you gotta go, but no biggie. Just try to buy something else that will make you happier.

goodluck!
Craiglist gets alot of exposure too, surprisingly! My friend sold his '91 Q45 in 2-3days from posting it there.
Otherwise as mentioned above, www.autotrader.com, www.cars.com, www.eBay.com (good advertising), and local daily paper seem best bets.
My '93 ES300 looks like a Panzer after Stalingrad, it's weathered/worn/weary... but I get alot of people saying, "when you're gonna sell it, make sure you let me know..." Lexus has an appeal, I must say. . .
I'll buy your ES' for what CarMax gives you plus $100...

BTW, how's the craigslist ad posting sound? I tend to babble about the car since I love it so much...

Try Craigslist or since youre in VA try www.dragva.com/forums/
Its mainly kids on that site but I got my old integra sold there in about a week (straight up trade for my es300). Its also local and free. But be prepared for serious low ballers and def state your terms of sale or else youll be bombarded with offers from people wanting to trade you for their POS.
goodluck on the sale.
