Default Ok, now who can fix this problem (hard)

I posted this before, but Ill try again. After replacing every (yes every) fuse under my coin tray, and under my hood, my Clock and Side Mirrors STILL dont work (98 es300).

Then I noticed something. I bought this car used, and I don’t smoke, so I never looked at the cigarette lighter. It just so happened that I got a cell phone cigarette charger today, plugged it in, and the cigarette lighter plug is not working. In fact, it doesn’t even stay secure (I can basically pull the cig lighter up and out about 5 inches). But it’s still attached by the wires though.

So who knows, do you think that the lighter, clock and mirrors are all somehow running off of each other???

Or should I take it to Toyota (or Lexus) and see what they say?

Help!!!!!

Cool

I just posted the '97 FSM.
Download it & check your body electrical & wiring diagrams to see how the power is routed.
What you *should* be doing is checking for continuity down the line. Fuse box to cig lighter. fuse box to wherever it is supplied from etc. on down the line.
I bet you're missing a fuse, or someone drew too much power through the system & shorted some wires. That's pretty common with Toyota cig lighters up until rescent years.

Avoid lexus at all costs. Find an INDY, or if all else fails get a yotadealer.

Had a similiar experience with the clock and the lighter, (didn't notice or check the mirrors). This is a longshot, but after I replaced the suspect fuse, I still had no power cause the darn thing just burned out right away.

A dime had fallen into the ligher socket and was shorting the fuse out. This doesn't sound like your problem since none of your fuses are blown.
