Cool

It was too small. It'd go from frying the tires the few few thousand RPM to having the power nose-dive as the engine was breathing more than the turbo wanted to feed it. Like driving something fun for a couple seconds, then driving a 3500lb lawnmower as the turbo lost effeciency & started overspinning.
I took it off & welded the wastegate flap closed so it'd build as much boost as possible. It got lots better (Good enouh to drive around), but it still like driving a lawnmower. (You can see the tack weld).
Anywho, it was overspinning like crazy & eventually smacked the housing. Compressor wheel lost some chunks & it has tons of play. Without a rebuild it spins off center & wobbles around hitting the housing. (Needs new bearings)

With a re-build it'd make a hellacious turbo to twin charge, or multi-charge with (Turbo feeding a blower, or turbo feeding another turbo). Small & light enough so that responce is instant on the v6s. Obviously no lag & the spool time is nearly instant.

wow the difference in turbo sizes is nice....you got stock internals on your ES? If so I suggest swapping them out asking a pro what to get so You can vary the boost
