Starting a turbocharger project on my ES300 - Need info
I decided I wanna turn the Lex into a bit of a project car. I'd like to install a turbocharger somehow. I've only ever seen one person do it, and it looked like crap because they made their own parts and the welding was amateur. Anyway, I thought I'd start off the right way by asking anyone has ever attempted this feat or if they know what size intercooler and turbocharger to use. Any info is greatly appreciated.

See the Tundra.
I am thinking of doing this at the end of the year with my RX300 and having the turbo underneath the car to save on costs and space.
Believe me, from my research, I will also have to make custom make parts (I already have some experience if you take a look at my signature).
There is another group you might try, http://performance.narcs.net/1mzfe.htm
I still have not figured out intercooler size or turbo and have been getting differing opinions on the subject.
Someone told me that the 1MZFE can handle 400 hp.

You probably saw my pipes when it was tac welded (no where near completion) before.I finished mine this past summer, but it's a 3vz-fe.
Finished product...
I can give you some advide for the piping you would need on your 1mz, but i'd definitely look at tony the tiger's set up for detailed advice on that motor.

NARCS / Shiftgate / Sportivo Concepts
are dead. They never made a single part between the lot of them that anyone knows of.
There is that one company in Japan that makes a 1mz-fe twin turbo kit. I forget the name of the company/website, but it's for the Previa minivan.
It'd neeeever fit in our bay. I've looked to many times. You'd hav to pull the motor to mount the turbo on the rear exhaust manifold, then cut 1/4 of the firewall out & powersteering & fuel lines, along with some of the main electrical wiring just to drop the engine back down in the car!!!
Tony_the-Tiger(Tony Leung & his brother)'s website
They have the worlds first turbo v6 Camry platform that anyone knows of.
He & his brother own a performance shop. At this point he's probably got $15,000-$20,000 in his '94 1mz-fe Camry engine bay in nothing but parts, as 95% of his labor is free because he does it!
Slickest thing you'll see on a Toyota v6 this side of a twin turbo 5vz-fe stuffed into an mr2!
