I have been trying to go to the spark plug wire route with my RX, but have not decided on an option yet. I would love to see your impressions about the Torquemasters.

Cool

Their lifespan is indefinate. They don't need to be changed unit they break. OEM replacements cost $90-120usd. Vitek wires are good. magnacore's are good, but hella expencive. Performance wise nothing is going to make an impact.

Beware of aftermarket wires. Most are as cheaply made as they are cheap. They normally cause many problems after a few years.

Am going with BKR6EGP NGK GP platinum in my 98, looks like Iridium tip, but 4$ cheaper.

Anyone tried these plugs?

So I don't have to pull one to check, perhaps someone will advise the plug ID/part no. for the N-D Iridium plugs for a '97 ES300...

Thanks much.

Default Bosch Iridium Fusion 4

I put in a set of Bosch Fusion iridium 4's at the same time I put on a new set of tires. My mileage dropped for 21/26 to 19/23. I thought it was the new tires but after 15 months and 40K nothing has gotten better.
I put on some new rubber because I thought that it was definately the tires but still nothing was better. Rebuilt the throttle body and cleaned the intake yet still no improvement and then it dawned on me, I put in those strange plugs last year.
Changed out to a set of NGK IX and my ride is like new again. Almost 24 combined mileage with a split HWY/City after 2 tanks of gas.
While the Bosch seemed fine at first, I was completely thrown by the new rubber and missed the reality of what really was ruining my mileage.
DO NOT USE THE BOSCH PLUGS in your Lexus. They have probably cost me 1500 since I put them in

No one should use Bosch, there's a reason parts guys' & mechanics call the 'botched plugs'.

They work in some Toyota's - if you're lucky, all others will not run properly.
Google even pulls up the same thing, I made a purchase for some, but ended up getting the Iridium NGK's before any installation.

This is true. Denso designed their iridiums to go 200k miles before performance starts to deteriorate. They have data which proves they accomplished their objective. An earlier post said iridium plugs need to be pulled and cleaned every 120k miles. I have never heard of this and, based on my experience with several vehicles with Denso or NGK iridium plugs, it is utter nonsense. I do pull them at 120k miles to add anti-seize to the threads and, in every case, the plugs looked brand new.
