Lightbulb 2006 ES330 Black Diamond Edition is out

http://www.lexus.com/models/es/black...l?s_ocid=20269

Those who like the idea of rolling in a "stealthy fighter" will love this new special edition. With a new "Black Diamond" exterior, 17" alloy wheels with "Black Diamond" finish, and a choice to go completely black in the interior with black leather and black wood, this may be the "black-est" Lexus yet.

According to Lexus's website, "in the shade, it (Black Diamond) appears to be an exquisite midnight black. However, when viewed in direct sunlight, thousands of tiny prisms in the paint burst to life and shimmer with a spectrum of colors." Sounds like a great color to behold in person.

Somehow I fail to tell the difference between this "Black Diamond"-finished rim and the standard ones.

Black on Black over Black.

Yeah, why don't they have that on LS or GS? Look good.

I'm curious to see what the Black Diamond edition ES looks like in person at the dealership. Just imagine what this would look like with black pearl emblems, and if found or done properly, a blacked-out grille

Now that is one ES I really love. I too cant wait to see this in person. I assume this is somewhat like a metallic black pearl or something. Interior also looks great with that black wood and nice window treatment.

They could have used different rims not rims that looks so similar to the stock rims(maybe they are stock)

Sharp looking car! Just a real bugger to keep clean in the winter.......especially the salt stains on the black interior.

It's funny that if you look closely at the picture of the windows of the "Black" Lexus, you can see that the interior leather is tan, and the steering wheel regular wood color. Guess they aren't the sticklers for detail that we all thought...

Perhaps it was you that missed the details.

Lexus offers three interior color choices and along with two wood trim choices for this Special Edition, including the tan (actually Cashmere)/Golden Bird's-Eye Maple Accent combo.

Seen it in person.

Likes:
The paint, definitely a lot of pearl flake in it.
The wheels (Lexus my call it black diamond finish, but it's actually the polished graphite you find in other Lexus vehicles)
Black interior

Dislikes:
The "pinstripes" on the door pillars. Makes no sense
Black Diamond badges on the front fenders. Tacky.
Black Diamond logos on the ashtray and floormats.
Availability of cashmere/maple interior.
