My ex decided to slam my passenger door on my 98 Es300 . Now I am unable to open the door from the inside. So basically you pull on the handle and it will stay stuck out. We need to unroll the window and open from the outside.

Does anyone know what part this is, if it is broken . I got the DIY removal of the door panel and would like to fix this myself.

Any suggestion/advice would be appreciated!

I got my advice from the "Removing door panel on 98" about a guy changing his side mirrors. The inside of the car door was stuck and we would have to roll down the window to the open the door from the outside.

I will post picks. It seems a small yellow piece that basically looks like an "L" didn't have the wire connected to it. I snapped the wire into the whole of the small yellow piece and clamp the longer part of the "L" to the wire and wha-la.

It was interesting to see how fragile the door openers really are. They are only being held together by small plastic pieces. So now my door opens and closes from the inside out.

if you take off the door panel there are two long metal pieces that look like long skinny "L" if you wiggle with them they can open the door by releasing the handle. You may not be getting them to work simulatenously. Try that first otherwise, look at the inside of the door frame near the information about your vin # and weight capacity see if the little clasp there is slightly off.
