New power steering pump dont work??

Default New power steering pump dont work??

I just had a power steering pump installed and it workd for like a half a mile then quit. The other power steering pump workd fine but leaked real bad. Does any one know why this would of happend? Also got the pump from autozone. It is a 92 es300

I went through 3 pumps from the same place. sometimes you can just get a bad batch. Return it and get another one. The rebuilt units are usually total garbage.

Werd. Our PS pumps are a bit too complicated for rebuilders to get right.



Make sure the belt is still on it, and not very loose. A lot fo times, people changing the PS belt leave it way to slack because they don't realize ours have two places to adjust the mount (tension) at.
