You will want new struts, most people are on their stock ones so its alwasy good to replace them when upgrading your suspension. For a mild lower there's the eibach pro-kit 1" drop. Other companies have up to 2" drop and then there are the coilovers. I have not used the coilovers myself, but I would recommend using those over anything else. I use a B&G 1.6" set for my fronts and a 1" eibach in the rear with kyb 3 way struts. I put the struts on around 2001 and theyre starting to wear, so expect about a 4-5 year lifetime with the kyb's if you go that route.

I'd like to hear from anyone on here who uses the D2 or K sport coilovers as I am interested in them.

So I need springs and struts, what about camber kit? I want coilovers but they are too expensive for me at this time. Same goes for rims. So much to do, so little moolah! I will be happy when I get my tint and system hooked up this weekend!

Cool

The Camber will remain the same. If the car is in alignment before the drop, it will remain so after. If you don't drop the crap out of it.

If you're going to drop, it needs to be at least 1.5". You can't even see a 1" drop on the front of the car.

someone on ebay is selling K sport for 97-01 ES for 950 + 20 shipping. Not sure how much k sports go for but my d2 were a little over 1000.

Hey lexster,
can you tell a difference with the strut bar? Or is it mostly for looks?

I did notice a very small difference in body roll. It is more for looks than anything.

Doesn't Gato have K sport coilovers? I remember him having a thread about his K sports... "look what the UPS guy brought me today..." or something to that effect. He said his K sports made his car ride and handle like an LS.

If your on a budget, you could do what i did and find some used springs (remember camry suspension is the same as ours) and just buy some good aftermarket front struts and leave the back as stock. IMO the ride is still very good like this even in the back seat. I know this might seem kinda retarded to some people but i was on a buget and didnt want to sacrifice the ride. The cost of my suspension was like 280 with struts and springs.
