Default ES300 VS. Camry

What are some of the mechanical differences between the es300 and the camry. I know exterior and interior is different what about suspension and sound deadening or the chassis. Any help would be appreciated. Im referring to the first three generations of es.

Cool

3vz-fe's in ES / windom's have an oil pressure sensor. Camries normally don't have the oil pressure sensor installed.
The steering ratio on the ES/Win are slightly faster (14.2 vs 14.8)
The 1mz-fe's on ES's recieved vvt a few years earlier.
Camry / Avalon / Vista have less sound padding.

The chassies are the same...

*Technically* you could install the AWD drivetrain from the turbo i4 Vista's if you were just born with money.

Nothing of signifigance. No major parts, no power adding parts.

That's false. EVERY modern engine has some sort of oil pressure sensor. There's a Oil indicator light on the dash for that very purpose. Low oil pressure. Otherwise everyone would blow their motor cease their engine w/o it.

Cool

You assumption is incorrect...

Camry's are equipped with the oil LEVEL light. Taken from the sensor installed in the pan.
That would be the orange light in an ES dash. The red light in an ES dash is oil pressure.
Camry's have no such light in their dash to begin with.

The oil pressure sensor bung is installed in the VZ blocks, but the sensor is not. They're plugged shut with a fitting. The electrical plugs for the sensor is dangling on every one you find. Only once in a blue moon do you run across a 2vz, or 3vz-fe with the oil pressure sensor out of a Camry. Most of those can be traced back to an ES-Win.

Pics of my car, taken to answer, "What is the white plug dangling by my alt & oil filter". A 3vz-fe Camry owner asked.

Camry

Oops...just realized you were talking about 3VZ not 1MZ. What's with the name change Toysrme? I think you have Phoenix misspelled.

The Camry has a total of about 25% of components (chassis, underpinnings, mechanical parts etc) in the ES. The rest or 75% of the car is all Lexus.
