Default muffler opinions and comments on ES

going for the ultra clean look....and although I have polished the tip on my muffler...it just aint cuttin it anymore.

I want something nice, almost stock looking but of course stainless steel

don't care to spend 500 bucks on a true exhaust.

whats wrong with a nice sport stainless steel muffler?

this is what it looks like now

go with HKS, GReddy, or Apex'i, you wont be dissapointed

i think going with a cheap looking muffler will give your car just that - a cheap look, and im sure thats not what you want

yeah...but what I don't want is that big ol muffler tip.

ok check out the "thumper" on the borla's...but if that damn tip wasn't so long

thats the look I want...what you got thats close to that....and not 4-500 bucks?

or better yet, can I somehow get the dimensions on my oem...and get something thats close to that size?
heck...I like my oem...if it was shiny

if you want a universal canister.. check out the apexi dunk (if you can find it), apexi world sport or the new world sport 2, or the greddy sp

you can get your oem muffler polished if you wanna go that route too

Gato,

I definately agree with HoeBag...and as far as the ones in those pics; please don't do that to your car man, it's too nice. You gotta spend the money if you wanna get the look: hey, it's the unfortunate truth!

I suppose, your other option would be to find a reputable guy to custom make you something. My buddy had a custom made system put on his Mazda 6; it looks just sick, and it sounds great. Much more of a deep rumble, and its only really noticable at full throttle, which for my money is prefect. I forget what he paid for the work, but it really wasn't anyway close to what I expected. Nicest thing here is that you can tell the guy what kind of sound you're looking for, and he can build from there.

Whatever you end up getting, post some pics as I'm going to need something to come this summer....after I touch up my ****ing hood though, damn stone chips are getting killed from all the **** on these cold *** canadian winter roads. Starting to develop some very small rust spots, which are un-appealing to say the least. Had the whole front end painted at the end of last summer too!!! I think I'll redo it once more and have that 3M chip guard put on. I know it doesn't look awesome either, but certainly better than these damn chips

you can probably do it yourself, or take it to a wheel repair shop... they can probably polish it for a small amount of $$

I have either the dremel, or i can take ti to my work and use our buffer. the buffer at work would take alot less tiem and it does a great job. speaking of which, i need ot do mine too someday.
