Sluggish transmission
I got the download for the jerky transmission on my wife's 2003 ES300 last Saturday. It did help the hesitation quite a bit. It now only has slight hesitation prior to downshifting. I have to be careful and not depress the accelerator quite as far as I am used to doing with a four speed auto.
It's a shame to have to 'learn' to drive the blasted thing. Lexus needs all of them hung around their necks.

The Canadian 2002+ ES 300 & 330's don't have the transmission hesitation problems the folks do in the U.S. strange, but it's something to do with the emission regulations or something to that effect.
