Default Had to replace my windshield today.

Last week I caught a rock dead square on the windshield, down low though.
Had a nice sized round chip with a 1/4" crack.

Called my service manager to find out who they outsource their glass replacements to. Turns out it is 20 minutes from my house. Brought it there at 8am this morning. Had breakfast at this awesome country kitchen restaurant next door and by 9am it was done.

You wouldn't even know it was replaced. They do all the glass for my dealership so my windshield was in their stock.

Mirror, rain sensor and inspection sticker didn't even look like they were moved.

Total cost for windshield, 2eggs scrambled, 2 french toast, 2 sausage coffee, OJ and tip = $12.00.

Life is good.

Nice! Isn't it great when things just "work out"?

They replaced the windshield for under 12 bucks?

I have full glass coverage with no deductable on my insurance, so the windshield didn't cost me a thing.
Breakfast cost me $12.

Steve got it going all right on his end

Just wanted to reiterate from the post I made in the LOC forum, most of the auto insurance companies here in the Northeast offer comprehensive coverage with a $XXX deductible, and $0 deductible for full glass coverage. Insurance companies will often insist on using their "own" list of glass replacement companies (reason: to save costs from their end), but if you want top quality without compromise, it's best to get the windshield replaced as OEM from the dealership (just like Steve did). This would involve talking the insurance company into using the dealership, and most of the time they will listen and go along with it
