Default 1995 es300 passenger door !help!

My passenger side door just stop opening from the outside.

i am getting really frustrated with the rattling. Is there any guide so i can take the door apart to fix it. And i heard there is a little piece you can buy to fix the latch.

my issue is taking the door apart. can someone guide me through or link me a place with the instructions to take the door apart. I realy dont want to mess anything up or pay someone over 1k dollars to have it fixed.

any suggestions are apprectiated.

I ran into the same problem on my 96 ES300, but it was the drivers side door. Let me ask you a question Your door opens from the inside right? but not the outside? When you drive do you get a rattle that sounds like its coming from around the doors arm rest? If so My guess is that you broke a small plastic clip that goes on a hook that connects your locking mechanism to the outside door latch. This clip connects directly into the outside door latch. This clip is small and yellowish in color. You can take the door panel off very easily with a few hand tools. Its kind of tricky getting it back on right due to little plastic snaps that have to line up, along with getting the part of the door by the window to fit correctly. Once you get the door off you cant really get at the area you need to be at. I would have to say that you should take it to the dealership and have them fix it, because its a real pain in *SS and its worth the money to let them fix it and have the headache. I will get some pics of the part the broke and show you to really see if this is whats wrong with your door.

Great!! I'm not the only one!

yes that is very similar to my issue. I really want to do this myself, its really not justifiable to me.

but i really need to see which screws to remove. I have removed the 2 clips on the inside of the door and can see only 1 more right by the interior latch.

which screws and a diagram would be excellent.

i have been googlin' for a diagram and came up blank.

thanks for you help!

Default door latch

I fixed it, through trial and error. but it still sticks, have to press inside locking mech. several times,
Don' t go to dealership, they want 200 to replace the entire locking mech. plus labor. Just do it yourself and keep tryiing

Default taking panel out

Hey Hipwin,
if you're still looking for the screws that hold the panel, there 2 main ones. One is right underneath the door "coin tray" (just take the small elongated cover piece that look like carpet material out). The other screw is just above the speaker and is covered by a round plastic cap.
When all screws and plastic pins are removed, grab the bottom of the panel (in the middle of the bottom panel, there's an indent shaped almost like a handle) firmly and pull it towards you. Using the palm of your fist tap along the top of the panel as you push the panel upward with your other hand. It's not that hard to take it out, but putting it back is another story. Good luck
