Well, I don't have any audio clips so I'll do my best to describe it. It's got an aggressive tone, but it's not real loud. It's rated at 87dB so it's still completely legal. In my opinion it sounds kind of like a stock G35 coupe exhaust. It has about the same volume levels, but it's a little deeper and not as raspy.

Well, I've still got the exhaust available. I'll consider any reasonable offers, and can ship it if necessary.

I've also got an OEM Toyota Solara front strut bar available ($50) and wood/tan leather steering wheel ($400) that both came off my 01 ES.

did this exhaust ever come as a full catback exhaust in japan?
because i like it, but prefer the whole setup, not just the muffler piece.
and why are you selling everything off your car?

i want it, but was just curious as if it were ever sold as a full catback, or just the rear section from japan? and if it were to be sold as a full catback, would i be able to find the rest of the piping?
Charley

As far as I know it was only sold as a rear section. On the VVTi equipped ES300 the b-pipe has a catalytic converter attached so the only part of the exhaust that you can legally switch out (at least here in CA) is the rear section. Most new Toyota exhaust systems are rear section only because Toyota has begun integrating the cat into the b-pipe for some reason. You could always have a muffler shop just cut and weld in some new, larger piping directly after the cat.
