Default Enform Service Connect and Safety Connect

I'm still a bit confused about the setup and activation process of service connect/safety connect. I guess this highlights the inadequacy of lexus tech, and synchronizing of their customer support and instructions.

I am now 4 months into ownership. Pretty soon after getting the car, I downloaded the app, configured it and synced it with the same user name and password as my lexusdrivers.com account. I have been using the lexus enform remote functions without problem and the service data/ car health stuff shows.
Also, there is a green light on , continuous, next to the SOS button so I thought that means that the service connect and safety connect is fully set up.

Now I get a generic looking email from lexus, at month 4 into ownership. Part of the email says what I have copied below. I never pressed the SOS button to enroll the app. Since I synced with my lexusdriver.com account and I have the fixed green light showing next to SOS button, shouldn't I be all set. ? I guess i could call the agents to confirm, but seems weird to be getting this email at month 4......
