PLEASE Rank the reasons you own your ES
PLEASE Rank the reasons you own your ES
Rank in order of the reasons you like your ES.
Below is my ranking for my 2010 ES 350, that I leased new.
Feel free to make up reasons not mentioned here.
1 Seat comfort
2 Ride quality
3 Quietness
4 Sound system - had standard sound, which was excellent
5 Lexus quality of design, fit and finish
6 Color - Red with tan interior
7 GPS system + backup camera
8 Lexus service and dealer service
9 Reliability - holds value longer. - it was a lease, but I know this is a reason many people buy it
10 V6 power

5, 6, (Nebula Gray) & 9. are tops. The sound system (mine is not ML) is adequate at best but was not a factor in my purchase. V6 is nice but it's all what you are used to I guess. My previous DD was a 2010 Corolla so this car rocks in comparison but I also had a 02 Z06 (which I miss); but I believe I'll be a Lexus fan for many years based on my few months of ownership.... I also figured it was time to quit lurking and join in on the fun!

9, 4 (ML), 3.
Heh...I've always thought about posting something like this. I have a '14 ES 350 UL/ML with all the goodies. I really enjoy my music, so being a quiet car with ML is very nice. I use cruise control a LOT and getting PCS/DCC is something I've wanted for years, so I like that. Then, next, perhaps 1, 2, 5, 8. I wanted to stay with a V6 to have decent power for passing and such--but once you're above $35K, pretty much everything is going to be V6.
I buy a car and want to like it very much and drive it for 10+ years...so "9/value" isn't much a concern but "9/reliability" and hence, maintenance costs, is a concern. I think we all agree Lexus, and certainly the ES, has low maintenance costs.

I have no order as I love my entire car, despite a couple rattles here and there cause it's built in the us(2016). This is my first luxury car and Lexus and that. And I can say I will not be leaving Lexus anytime soon. I just love my car its a very nice luxury cruiser. Mine has all the goodies except the the semi aniline leather passenger menore rear door shades( I have the rear shade) and ambient lighting. So the only thing I don't have in the UL package. Once my lease is up I will be getting a gs 350 f sport tho. Cause the es has little to no aftermarket mods.

Pole Position
They all tie for third with the #1 reason not shown as reliability and #2 cost to service. Consumer Reports and J D Power ranks Lexus #1 in reliability. Lexus has been #1 in the J D Power’s dependability study for five years in a row. In 2011 they were ranked #2, 2010 #4, 2009 #3, 2008 #1, and 2007 #2. Below is an article that shows Lexus/Toyota are the least expensive to maintain. IMO, I think it is insanity to buy a luxury expensive vehicle that either is expensive to maintain or is not reliable.

Comfort: Quiet, great seats, great ergonomics
Design: Still love the exterior and interior dash layout
Reliability: Zero mechanical or electrical issues
Technology: Was impressive when I bought the car in 2012, but now most features are either becoming standard (safety) or can be optioned in vehicles from non-luxury brands (such as dynamic cruise)
I'm looking forward to the all new model, which if they keep their schedule, is likely due next August as a 2019. Lexus will have to maintain the first two points for me and make big improvements in tech for me to happily pick up another ES.
