Anyone have suggestions for an iPhone issue with text notifications? When I first got the car I used to get new text message alerts in the car. Now I don't any more. Can't be sure but suspect it quit working after I updated my iPhone 6 to IOS 10. Any thoughts out there?

Check to see if Show Notifications is switched on in your Bluetooth settings on your phone. Sometimes it resets those tabs when updated.

Yeap.......Notifications > Messages > Allow notifications is on as well as show in notification center etc

Did you try deleting it from your phone and re-syncing it with the car? Make sure notification tab is switched on again.

I finally got around to removing my phone and adding it back again. No joy. Reread your post and realized you said Bluetooth. I had gone under settings >notifications>messages and made sure allow notifications was on. I should have gone to settings>Bluetooth>info tab for the Lexus car connection and there is a show notifications button there. Bingo . (All I had ever seen under Bluetooth connections previously was "forget this device" so it never occurred to me to look there. Thanks for your help.

Since we are on a roll maybe you can help me with another issue.... sort of related. I realized in messing around in the car settings for the phone, there is a setting to use a photo for contacts. When there is an incoming call I get a generic picture that comes up next to the phone number not the picture I have stored with the associated contact on my iPhone. Should this come up with the stored picture on the iPhone contact or does it always just use the picture blank? How do I get it to work if it's the contact pic? I turned it on on the settings but nothing.

Glad to hear you got your Bluetooth problem solved. I only have a few contact photos but they do not appear when the contact is calling in or when I call the contact. If they are supposed to show, then I'm missing something too. They don't show in our NX either.

I recently had to replace my iPhone 5s, with another 5s. I couldn't receive messages any longer in my Lexus 450h. After much research this is what worked for me.

1. Go to settings
2. Scroll down to messages
3. Scroll down to SMS and make sure it's is on.
4. Reboot phone
5. Have someone send you a text to try it. Good luck.
