Default 255/40R18 Tires on ES350

Has anyone upgraded to a beefier tire like a 255/40R18 on the 18" rims? If so do you prefer the wider look and any pictures?

Thanks

Did you find answers on this? The circumference is within .2%. I'm curious if there is fitment issues and any other info.

Top of the page, “Tools”. Dropdown menu “Tire Rim Calculator”. Or try https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=50mm&sr=0mm for more detailed comparison. Just plug in numbers for stock and info for “thinking about” and see what comes up.

Thanks for that calculator. Using the calculator i wasn't sure if the various clearance were correct ( fender, suspension, wheel well ). I was able to see that a 235 45 18 will work just fine in the situation because it was one of the wheel offerings.. For the increased power i wanted to fit a 255 in there, so i'm still not able to tell.

I prefer the stock tires 215/55/17. Rides better and looks better. Safer too.

Personally i will need the additional traction and stopping power wider tires will give me. The car will have over 100 more HP and 100 more ft-lb of torque than factory.
