Default Opinion on deal: 16 es 350

Considering jumping on a deal on a 2016 es350. silver, black interior, linear dark mocha. KY built ES. Msrp is 44620. Has all the niceties I'm looking for. Out the door, they are asking for 39895. It's a ca sale. Was considering a trade in, but Car was being way undervalued and decided to just pass my current car on to another family member.

Opinions on this deal?. Thank you all.

Out the door doesn't tell us much. Your taxes and fees will vary from other states.

What was the negotiated price, before tax and fees?

Are there any profit making dealer added options, or warranties added on?

From what's been reported, you should be easily ably to get 20% off MSRP on a 2016. Probably more in CA.

Thank you for your reply.

Price before tax and fees was 36558, with an out the door price of 39895 out the door (8% tax in my area). They were willing to do 39250 with trade in but I don't feel very comfortable with the trade in value I received.

No other add ons on the sticker except factory options.

Thank you

It's not a bad deal. You're at about 10% off msrp plus the $3500 incentive. In my opinion, in CA you should be able to get at least 12% off plus the incentive. So you might be able to push for another 800-1000 off.

I recently got about 18-19% off MSRP in So Cal.

For you, 19% off would be 36,142 before taxes and fees. SO you are right in the ball park.

Update...

For those interested, I ended up calling off that deal. It turns out that car had 200 miles on it, which made me reluctant to continue with a "new" car purchase.

The search continues!

fair enough.
there are other 2016s out there. Unless totally picky about color or something, a reasonable rule of thumb is to go for something with 100 miles or less.

Quite the turn of events today. Found another local dealer with the same exact same options and color combo PLUS the preferred accessory package. Three miles on the clock, and they also beat the other dealer by an additional hundred dollars. Signed the papers and took the car home today. Atomic silver with black interior, navigation, heated seats, etc... All said and done, got a lower out the door price for a more expensive car, with mileage I was agreeable to. Thanks to everyone for the advice!
