Adding A Spoiler
#16
First post ever. Unfortuntately, Lexus doesn't offer an OEM trunk lip spoiler for the ES 350 with the Ultra Luxury Package. I just bought my 2013 and am going to see if the Lexus body shop can (professionally) notch out around the antenna - which is mounted on the trunk of the Ultra's.
Otherwise, you can order them OEM painted to match your car and they look great.

I talked to dealer about adding a spoiler and Oem spoiler comes with a template to drill holes for mounting. I think it looks great but not sure I want holes drilled to install it. Factory install is a different matter. The parts manager did tell me that there are seals around it so rust should be less of an issue but who knows.
Just FYI: My local dealer in Columbia SC quoted me $300 for both spoiler (painted) and template. I didn't price labor, as I intend to do the work myself. I don't know what the spoiler looks like, no pictures to provide, just a telephone quote.

Passing thought: If your "wife like the way it looked," then I would think it is NOT useless. More like mission accomplished! You've earned a beer. =)

I haven't had any luck finding a video or printed instructions for the installation online. Would love to read/review before I buy. While I don't like to ask for handouts, would you mind pointing me to a potential link for the install info? Video or written instructions would be fine. Would be appreciated.

I havent done it either. but there are 2 holes on the underside..looks to be about 24 inches apart , maybe more.. get 2 strips of paper about 6 inches long.. punch a hole in center of ea strip the size of the hole.place the strips on back facing fore and aft with holds over the holes in spoiler.. put blue tape on trunk turn over on car. get it where u want it.. tape ends of paper strips to the trunk..remove spoiler. paper strips remain on the trunk. mark holes..on blue tape...drill pilot hole. then enlarge... course u have to remove the truck lid liner...treat hole edge..remove stickey tape. place on care.. you only get one shot.....

I wouldn't use the screws either.
