my way is very practical and zero cost. But if you don't like the look, you can use modify these ideas to make it look better:

That's one of the funniest things I've seen posted in awhile! I didn't actually watch the video, but I get the gist.

yes, all my friends laughed about it. But then one of them told me the other day they actually used one of the ways shown in the video during their long trip (though it still may be embarrassing to make it a permanent fixture ) Since the video has over 18k views, I bet someone is secretly using this kind of cellphone holder.

Default Cell Phone holder for ES

Brent,

We just bought an ES 2 weeks ago and initially had the same issue trying to figure out where to mount the iPhone.
The Nite Ize Steelie Vent Mount Kit from Amazon works great.
I didn't want a windshield mount or to stick anything on the dash.
This vent mount is the finest I have every seen.
The only caveat is that you must stick a small circular magnet to the back of the phone.
If you can live with that, then this system will suit your needs.

Vent Mount

Phone attached to mount.

Magnet attached to the back of the phone.

Brent, the magnets are removable and the manufacturer sells replacement mounting disks. My wife has an OtterBox and it has a smooth plastic back. The disk is holding well.

The one I showed a few posts back is the same, except the magnet stays on the steel ball instead of on the phone. The phone just gets a thin metal sticker so you can stick your phone on any magnet anywhere. Also the metal plate can go between your cover and your phone without glue if you prefer. Much better design than sticking the protruding magnet on the phone, in my opinion.

Brent,

I have no experience with a wireless charger.
Off hand, I can't imagine why the two might interfere.
You might check the user reviews on Amazon and see if anyone has commented on that or just post the question.

For people using magnetic holder, do you notice any magnetic interference to the cell phone's magnetic components (antenna, compass, speaker etc)?

Also if you carry your magnetic holder in your pocket, make sure it does not erase magnetic data stored on credit cards,

I have never encountered any anomalous behavior due to the magnet at the rear of the phone.
I never carry my phone and wallet in the same pocket, but wouldn't risk it.
The magnet is very strong.

Once again, use the type where the magnet says on the dash mount, the phone then only gets a thin piece of metal. Now there is no magnet in your pocket or on your phone.
