MSRP Discounts....am I crazy?

That would be $8,500 off MSRP and 0.9% financing. Pretty darn good deal if you ask me. I still think you could do better on the $45,000+ car vs the $42,000+ car. Should be more 'wiggle' room there.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I agree about more wiggle room on the NAV model but, even if they gave me like another $2K off that one, not sure I would pull the trigger for 1,000 difference. Maybe I'm nuts but, the only other options included in the more expensive model are rear sun shade, heated steering wheel, and nav. The only one I'm remotely interested in ironically is the rear sunshade. Don't think I would ever use the nav and def not the heated steering wheel in S. FL. . Something to be said for resale but, we hold onto cars for a long time. I'll keep working the deal(s) and let you know how things shake out. Thanks again for all the feedback. This seems like a wonderful community.

yes .you're correct. It's Silver Spring Lexus. If you like to come down, I will give you manager contact so you can talk to her directly. If you like we can buy the same time maybe they give us more discount. . I didn't pull trigger because they don't have color i wanted.

Formenter,
Best of luck in the midwest. I used to live in Ohio, not sure what the deals are like up there. I just got what I think is the rock bottom after shopping my quote again.
new '16 ES350 With Nav MSRP $45,704.00
Sale Price $40,600.00
Rebate $3,500.00
Sales Tax $2,546.85
Tag Fee's $231.50
Dealer Processing Fee $689.00
worst case=Total Bottom Line $40,600.35 with .9% for 60 months
Confirmed that if I finance with lexus they will do another $1,000 off. I was told by other dealers that you couldn't stack but, email and phone confirmation. Have to pull the trigger before september 1 though as I think they really need to move units prior to the end of the month.
so...best case= Total Bottom Line $39,600.35 with .9% for 60 months
thoughts?
I think thats the best I am going to be able to get.

39,600 otd is a great deal..i have been wondering/hesitating if it is worth to sell/trade my 09 es 350 (no issues at all) for a new ES.I think if the price is too good to be true then i may switch.

When will the 2017s hit the lots?
I wonder if the manufacturer will add back the $3500 rebate even after Sept 6th?

Long time lurker, first time poster. Shopping for a '16 with premium package and safety features. Basically all options except NAV, and the UL stuff. Live in SW FL, got my first quote today from a dealer close to Miami.
MSRP-$43,108
$38,516 including current golden opportunity incentive
OTD-$40,284 including TTL
no trade ins
seems decent but, I know I can do better. Shopping deal around to about 5 other dealers. Luckily, there's about 7 dealers in a 200 mile radius in south Florida.
BTW, anyone else nervous about waiting to pull the trigger until after the golden opportunity incentive expertise on 9/5? Would think the deals will only get better as '17's hit the lots.

I've noticed that people have said that the more expensive the car, the greater the discount you should be able to get. With that in mind, if the car is just over 48k, should I be shooting for 40k or is that expecting too much? Also, I was considering adding the illuminated door sills, is it best to mention that up front? Should I try to get that for less than the list price too?
FWIW, I'm in the DFW area and if it matters, I'm looking at the ES300h
Thanks

thanks. Good link.
Interesting to see in the Link the 2017 updates. Looks like the Safety System + with PCS is now standard. Given that, I wonder if that means the base MSRP will be much higher than 2016? I assume so.....

I've read as early as September (don't recall the source) and early October from https://northparklexusatdominion.wor...us-es-updates/

You can build the 2017's online and they start at $38,900. Don't remember what the 2016's started at but not much different than that.

I tried Truecar for one dealer and sent an email to another and the first one said "we have your car," but failed to give a price or say what precise car. I wrote back asking for specifics and pointed out what color and package I was looking for (identical to what I sent via truecar) and silence.
The 2nd dealer I sent an email from their website and gave them the VIN numbers of the cars I was looking at and asked for what differences there were (other than paint) and in one case asked about the interior.
They replied asking me about what type of package I was interested in (wouldn't the VIN from their website provide that info?). I replied with roughly what I wanted and again noted that I'd provided a VIN earlier. 3 hours later no reply.

In my case I blasted about 7 dealers, some local and some a few hundred miles away with my ideal car specs. I always looked at their website's "about us" page and got the internet sales reps email to send to. The ones that didn't respond I just wrote off. Of the ones that did most were willing to negotiate via email but a few wanted me to call. While I was adverse to calling I actually got my best quote from doing so. Using that quote I leveraged it for my deal with a local dealer who completely negotiated via email. VIN's are always current on their sites I found out too. Good Luck!
