Default Lower Chrome Trim Question

I bought these online.. I got them today. They were very well packaged. Has tape on the chrome strip so it wont get scratched..4 pieses.. has them marked as LR door RR door etc....The description calls them rocker panel trim.. The pic shows them on the doors... On the 2016 ES 350,and maybe the 2013-2016 for all I know, the doors near the bottom of the door are concaved out..This chrome trim is as well. which makes sense..HOWEVER it seems like I cave a catch 22 situation...when applied, Im wondering since its concaved will the entire surface of the tape be applied to the door? On the other hand if the trim were.. concaved inward, they tape wouldnt either.. looks like if the doors AND the trim was flat, like the body side molding. it would fit better... Does anyone have these on their ES?

Those are really good questions.

Unfortunately, there's no way to figure this out until YOU install it and find out. I would like to think that EBAY sellers in CHINA did extensive testing on an actual ES before they made this product available online -- but I doubt it.

I think you're going to be our guinea pig. Let us know how it goes and please provide photos after your install.
Sounds like a cool mod!

Hi Brent,

It does not work. My guess is that you're linking it onto your post when you're still logged into your Ebay account online.
We cannot access those links because we're not signed in as you on our own computers.

Try logging out of your Ebay account first, then go to the product page, then choose that Link to copy here.

That worked. However, I think we're all eager to see how those chrome strips look on a real ES.
Can you put them on your car and take some pics for us?

Yes, but im waiting till in the morning as it is very humid here outside and warm.. I temporarily attached one with blue tape... what i did on the body side molding is. get several pieces of tape then get it where i want and tape from above the trim and on trim then when ready, lift it up and remove the tape and lower it and using my fingers keep it away barely and start at one end and press slowly to other end...

I put them on my car and I think they look great. It breaks up the lines of the door. I thought I had some pics but cannot find them.

They look awesome. If you can also take pics of the fulll car it would be great.

I don't think these would fit in the Hybrid. Looking at your pics, it looks like the Hybrid badge on the rear doors might be too close to it.

I really appreciate you being the first to do this and share the pics.

It's looks pretty close to the hybrid badge, but may fit.
