Can the ES 350 Flasher, which is very loud by the way... be replaced by a different flasher that has a built in hyperflash fix so LED turnsignals can be used ? or is a resister always needed?

I thought I remembered changing the number of flashes from 3 to 5 thru settings on my 2013 ES but on my 2016 it is a dealer setting and I believe you can go all the way to 7 flashes now. I stayed with 5.

For the 2013 ES, the setting that changes the volume of the flashers is #38, and the one that gives you the option of flashing 3 times, 5 times, or 7 times when changing lanes is #39. The numbers of the settings for your 2016 ES might be different from those for the 2013 ES.
If you are going to have the dealer change any of the "dealer only" personalized settings, you should make sure that you have first gone through the full list of 40 or so settings (about 20 are "dealer only") so that you can get any that you wanted to change done during the one time when the dealer does it at no charge.

For the 2016 ES, the two settings that I mentioned earlier are number 35 and number 36.
