All Weather Mats

Most people that buy a Lexus, in my opinion, are buying the car as an upgrade to a run-of -the-mill "regular" car. I don't consider my Lexus as a Toyota. It is a luxury car. A basic luxury car but a luxury car nonetheless. If dirty mats don't bother you and you don't care what they look like, then go for it. Otherwise, I, for one, do care what they look like and strive to keep them looking as new as possible in my LUXURY CAR. This is why I use clear plastic mats on top and they DO look like new. I also own a new Honda and protect those mats as well.
There is no need to denigrate the Lexus cars and call them Toyotas.

Lexus, Toyota, Acura or Honda, I think most people would want to keep their car new as long as possible by keeping it clean. I keep my Lexus all weather mats in the car all year round since gravel, dirt and rain water will grind into the carpet mats very quickly. I guess you can shampoo them every few months or buy new carpets mats every year too.

Correct. And while we're at it, people should stop wearing shoes in the house also -follow the Asian culture. All I hear from friends is, "My carpet is so dirty, it's gross." or "My house stinks and I think it's the carpet, what do you think?" Well, stop wearing shoes on your carpet! Do you have any idea what you've stepped on throughout your busy day?

I used to think weather mats were for fools who loved their cars too much. That was until I had enough of scraping mud off the stock mats and vacuuming dirt off the carpets. I've got a full PU set that covers the entire footwell (front and back), it's easy to clean even if I have muddy boots on. The carpet underneath is completely protected and never gets dirty.

A big shout out to azipod for sending me the mats he got by mistake! He sent them before even receiving the money. Now that's some good karma!
Mats look great and much less obtrusive than I thought. Perhaps being black in a black interior help subdue the visual impact.
Now I'm set for the winter rains.
