I find the RX to have a choppy ride, especially with big rims. It also has less back seat room compared to the ES. If you don't need the ground clearance or AWD, I'd go for the ES.
all good points! Choppy ride would be no good. I am all about comfortable soft rides......I have'nt been doing much local california snowboarding lately anyway, and we dont have much snow as it is, so the ground clearance for snow is minimally needed, plus I have my wife's acura SUV if needed.......
a surfboard could just as easily be carried on top of an ES as an RX!

even then, the 2016 ES does'nt have as soft and comfy a ride as my 2005. But it seems it is not possible to get any 2016 Lexus with the soft ride of the past generations without going to the LS..... that's been my lesson on test drives so far....

I find that the 2016 6ES on 17" rims is soft and comfortable enough a ride; it all depends just how soft you want it.

Sorry if this is answered already. Any news on the 2017 model?

From reading around and building one online at Lexus, it would appear to be the same as 2016 except is has all of the safety stuff standard now (lane drift detection, adaptive cruise control, etc).

I've been in touch with a few dealers trying to get my best deal on a '16 ES. I was told by
a few that the '17s should be out shortly and 1 even told me they already have allocation on '17's so should be there within 30 days.

But the 2017s wont have the $3500 incentive plus further discounts that one can get currently on the 2016s.....

however, with the PCS and safety stuff standard - if that is all included in the same MSRP as 2016 - that is a great enhancement
I think the cost of PCS with full safety features on a 2016 adds quite a bit to price, correct?
