Glass Roof (PANO) Maintenance
Foolish question, but I can find nothing in the OM about maintenance of the Glass Roof. Should I on the Exterior:
1. Wax it as I would a Painted Roof,
2. Clean it only with Soap and Water, or
3. Use Window Cleaner and if so what brand.
I have the same question for the Interior.
I know the question seems a little simple but I do not want to do damage to any coatings it may have.

Full disclosure: I've had a 2016 ES350 with the panoramic roof for about three weeks, so I am far from expert, but here is what I learned from some web searches:
The pano roof is polycarbonate and you want to be careful what you put on it, i.e., I usually clean and then treat glass with Aquapel?, but that is made for glass and NOT polycarbonate (again, from what I was able to discern online).
I have been washing mine when I wash the car and then I use a microfiber towel to get the water off. I located and use a product called Plexus Spray Cleaner, which was developed for high end plastics cleaning applications. According to the reviews on Amazon it seems to have quite a following in the motorcycle and aviation circles.
It is spendy at $22 for a can, but a little goes a long way. All I can say is you get what you pay for - it cleans and seems to put a protective finish on the roof that resisted water spots on the one subsequent washing I have done so far on the car. I also used it on the piano black surface of the interior shift console and wow, really eliminates all the smudges. Great for the dash and nav screens as well. A definite buy recommendation as far as I am concerned.
Here's a link I found from US Plastic Corp re polycarbonate cleaning, good info: http://www.usplastic.com/knowledgeba...contentkey=573

I've never done anything special to mine(2013), and it is holding up just fine. i Just wash it with soap and water like the rest of the car.

I wash mine with soap and water, or window cleaner, if I'm just spot cleaning. It's glass, treat it as such.

Lead Lap
I remember some previous posts on this forum where some owner's sun roofs or pano roofs shattered. According to the reports they broke into small pieces like glass. Polycarbonate is shatterproof thin plastic and will not shatter like glass. It is used in bulletproof glass and eyeglasses...

I stand corrected (told you I only owned the car for three weeks!), the pano roof is glass. I don't know where I picked up polycarbonate, maybe because other car makers (not Lexus apparently) are using it for pano roofs. Mine also says TemperLite on the roof panels, so is glass clearly.
