Default Back license plate question

I was just looking at the back plate that the dealer put on, and it looks slightly crooked.
Thinking back, I think they might have been hastily placed.

I have to measure it to make sure.

Does the ES come with holes already in place for the plate? Or does the dealer just screw the holes where they want?

If it is crooked, is there anything I can do about it now?

The holes are already there with the nuts in them. Perhaps the play in the hole of the plate can be used to make it straight.

Thanks, that gives me some relief. When I get home tonight I'll measure it and see if maybe a slight nudge will straighten it out

But if there is a dealer license frame that could be off as well. Further, the license plate itself could have holes that might not be plum. The QC with those guys/gals in the orange suits is not up to Lexus standards. A small level would probably help.

The holes in mine were off slightly. Noticed it when I took off the dealership license plate and installed my own. I had to nudge it slightly to straighten it out.

The level would only be useful if you were absolutely certain that the car was parked on a completely level surface, and that isn't very likely. It would probably be more useful to measure the distance from the top two corners of the license plate to the edge of the trunk lip above the license plate to make sure that the space was the same on both sides of the license plate.
