Default 2013 es 350 power steering reservoir

can anyone inform me where the power steering reservoir is located on an ES 350 (2013)?
i am looking to change the fluid out since my steering wheel is making some noise at full lock.
i have been looking under the hood for 2 days now and cannot seem to locate it. i have located the brake fluid reservoir which was flushed out today...night and day difference in braking btw. now this power steering is bugging me but i cant locate the reservoir.

thanks in advance.

I believe that the power steering is electric, not hydraulic. Therefore no power steering fluid and no pump.

Ah I see. Well that makes sense as to why I can't find the reservoir. Thanks for the input.

Yup, our ES uses electric power steering. While we're on this topic - does anyone know which type of power steering is more suited to take abuse and reliablity -electric or hydraulic power steering?

Some links on the subject. I believe EPS is better and more reliable than HPS.

honestly, i like to stick with hps... for me its easier to maintenance and keep it up to its potential. as far as eps is concerned, im sure there arent any maintenance that is needed like hps, but i believe just like any electric motor when its gone its gone and you dont know it until its gone. so with that being said, yes there may be more attention needed for hps but i like to do the maintenance anyways so its hps for me.

plus, no matter how good the eps has gotten lately, its still not the same as hps as far as handling and feel is concerned.

I hear you. Just wait till everything goes drive-by-wire. Talk about disconnect!

I'm a fan of EPS since I have yet to replace any steering components while my time working at a dealership. I've done many HPS steering racks and let me tell you how much of a PITA it is if you don't have the proper tools and experience .

Good to know. I like the easier feel of EPS myself.

Thanks for the info. I have been searching for the reservoir in my 2014 Es350 and was wondering if my eyes were failing me.

count me as a fan of the electric steering. When I test drove my ES at the dealership, the very first thing I noticed was how smooth and easy the steering was... My wife very very seldom drives my ES, normally drives her 4 runner but the other day I had to take the 4 runner to move my boat to another storage area.. while I was gone my wife had to run an errand so she drove my es. When I got home all I heard was how "smooth" the steering was and how much she enjoyed driving my car.... so yeah, we're fans of the electric steering.

Yes 2018 has Electric Power Steering, same as my 2017.

I do agree that Hydraulic power steering does have a better/connected feel to the road than EPS.
