ES-350 oil change : Crush washer?
Hi everyone,
I am working to change oil for the car. Is the 2016 350 come with a separate crush washer or bonded to the oil pan? I saw a washer there and cannot take it off from the pan.
Also, to refill engine oil, the refill section is not allowed to use a long nose funnel. Under the refill cap, it has
stopper with two slots sitting about one inch below the cap. It is strange for me.
Waiting online.
Thank you for your reply.

I will try to take it out.
For the torque of the drain bolt and filter module, do you have the numbers? I can hand tight the whole filter model down to stop, is it over torque or enough? Thanks again.

Don't know what the torque number is for the drain bolt I snug it up, not cranking it and have never had a leak.. The filter holder I tighten until its seated with the "O" ring tight against the seat.

Reviving an existing thread on this issue, and wondering about the same that the OP has asked. Changed the oil today (all have been previously done at Lexus dealerships) and wondering if the oil pan has a raised lip or if it's a crush washer that's stuck the drain pan. The oil pan bolt came out without a crush washer on it and it looks like it's the crush washer that's stuck to the oil pan. I tried to knock it off with a small screwdriver, but had no luck, and put the oil pan bolt back in as I didn't want to push my luck. Can someone shed some light on this, please? Attached is a pic of how it looks - have some dents from tapping with a small screwdriver.

Utility knife blade and a few taps with a hammer. It's surprising how well the washer bonds to the pan.

I torque my oil plug to 28-30 ft/lb

For the funnel, I use a xtra- thick funnel I got from Auto Zone. The nozzle is thicker so it wedges in the hole well where it stays upright on its own. It also drains/passes oil faster.
