Leave it running and lock the doors?

If you're paying for the app, you can use your key fob to start it. I've heard, but don't understand how, that's disabled when the subscription is cancelled.

Yes, you can start it with the keyfob. Press the lock button twice and hold it on the second press, or maybe hold on third press. I can't recall if it was two or three.

You can start it with the key fob by pressing three times in succession, and holding it on the third press until the hazards flash.
This key fob feature is disabled after a few weeks after an expired subscription. So unless you want to pay the annual fee of $219 after your one year trial period for Safety Connect and Remote, you may want to invest in an aftermarket system.

My ES is a 2013 with the non-internet based remote starter. So, I can't tell you with certainty how the currently used remote start system works, but there have been a couple of other threads on this board in which multiple people with 2016 ES vehicles have said that, without an active subscription, even key fob remote starting is disabled.

The Enform subscription was never activated on my father's 2016 RX350 and mother's 2015 ES350, and the remote start using the fob doesn't work.
