There is an update to the Multimedia System in some 2014 and newer ES models. To see if your system needs and update log onto http://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home and click on the Multimedia System Updates and select your model, year and whether or not you have navigation. You download the software and put it on a USB flash drive. There are downloadable instructions on how to install it. This is a different update than the one that loads from your cell phone.

For my 2015 ES350 it said this:

UPDATE TYPE - OPERATING SYSTEM
Your Lexus Vehicle has an available multimedia software update (Version V15A8872).

This update is designed to improve the performance of your multimedia system.
Updates include the following:
• Navigation system becomes frozen/has no response or slow response
• Resetting of the navigation system
• Display is blank after a Bluetooth™ Audio device is connected

There may also be other enhancements included in the update. Click on the link below to download the software.

Thats odd. 2015 ES350 gets an update but my 2014 ES350 has none. Thanks for the heads up though. I'll keep an eye out for an update. Hopefully to fix the bluetooth skipping issues

My Dealer updated mine when I couldn't get my iPhone to read SMS text during my 15k check on my 2015.

We bought ours in February of 15 (I think it arrived at dealer in December of 14) and it needed the update. Also had a "mandatory" Enform update that popped up this morning. Ran that first on the way to the car wash.

Lexus Enform App Suite gets updated for free if you are using LAS and your phone is paired and connected. 2014 to 2019's

Multimedia Updates are updated for free if you download it from www.LexusDrivers.com and use a flash drive

Navigation Updates involve a Dealership sending your couple hundred dollars for licensing fees and then an hour
or so with a TechTool to download. Largely unnecessary if you use Lexus App Suite to tie your phone to the Nav.
