Default 2016 ES-350 Oil Change

Hi everyone,

I know that it is easy questions for you guy.

For the new model 2016 ES350 oil change. Can you recommend a wrench to take the filter module off from the car?

Is the oil change in the same procedure as 2007-2012 350?

Thank you.

The engine is the same as the 2007 - 2012. Therefore the oil change is the same. You do not require a special tool to remove the canister. Any filter wrench will work, however I use the cup that fits over the bottom of the canister and remove the entire cartridge holder. You can buy a set of these cups at Harbor Freight for about $5.00 that will fit several filters. You can also use a 3/8" socket wrench to remove the smaller piece at the bottom of the canister to drain it first then remove the larger canister. There is a youtube video that shows how this is done with a piece of tubing that comes with the new cartridge along with new "O" rings. Good Luck!

If it fits the Avalon which has the same engine as your Lexus, then it will fit the filter on your Lexus.
You would use a 3/8" socket wrench and this filter wrench/fitting to remove the entire filter canister. The cartridge is inside and the "O" ring must also be changed. Coat the "O" ring with oil with your finger after installing it onto the canister then spin and tighten the canister back to the car.
