Need appropriate tires for '14 ES350 (dealer tires squeal)
Hey there,
I'm looking for suggestions on what all season tires to put on our '14 ES350. The tires that came with the car (I think they are Duelers, something not high quality) squeal insanely when we take curves at 40 or 30 MPH. We live in the mountains so the main highway up here has many curves and banks and the tires just don't like it. We'd love any recs for a good all season high quality tire.

There was a recent thread regarding replacement tires for the ES 350. Many were happy with the Pirelli P7 Plus, not to be confused with the Pirelli P7 Cinturato.
I plan to buy them when my current tires require replacement. You can get more info here www.tirerack.com including price and specifications. They are relatively inexpensive compared to Michelins. $137.20 each for 215/55R17/94V. They are all season tires.

The tires you're talking about are the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus. The key is the plus..

Sounds like you need a summer performance tires ... back when I had Bridgestone they would squeal and I could feel the car losing grip. I replaced them with cheap falken high performance all season and still same problem. On my summer wheels I had cheap sumitomo HTR III max summer tires and the grip is an amazing difference that you could feel both dry and wet. The ES would feel glue to the road even above triple digits speed and would be able to take sharp off ramp at normal speed even on wet conditions... All tire were the same size 225/45r18

I personally would buy nothing but Michelin
I think there are the softest and quietest riding tire made
tire rack has the Primacy MXV4 Grand Touring All-Season 174.00
Philip
2016 ES300h
2015 NX300h

I've had a couple of sets of the MXV4 tires, and they do provide good ride quality with minimal road noise, but my biggest issue with them is that their wear rating is not nearly as good as that of the tires of some of their competitors. And my experience has been that they do not, indeed, wear as well as some of the competitor tires. The primary reason is that they start out with only 9/32 of an inch of tread, while tires from some of the competitors start with as much as 12/32 of an inch of tread. That amounts to about 30% more usable tread. And the MXV4s are also somewhat pricier than the similar tires from competitors.
When the MXV4s on my ES need to be replaced, I may well go with the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus tires discussed earlier. I've heard nothing but good about them, and they come with a significantly lower price than either of the two Michelin tires being discussed here.

I have no clue yet of course if the tires I have on my 2016 Lexus ES 350 are good or not... Rather than the standard 215/55/R17 tires, mine came with the optional 225/45/R18 Michelin Green X... Guess time will tell... I know it was an $880.00 option...

If you have the Michelins that came OEM they're fine tires, I would keep them. If you have the Bridgestones I would replace them.
